FAQ

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us.

Q: How much do you charge for tutoring services?

A: Rates vary depending on the subject. Our rates are extremely competitive, yet we are confident that you will find our tutoring services to be the very best available. We are so confident that you will love your tutor that your first hour of tutoring is risk–free.

Q: Do you conduct background checks on your tutors?

A: Yes, all of our tutors undergo a thorough background check in addition to being carefully selected according to the rigid standards and expectations we have for our tutors. Along with this, we review their official transcripts, test their subject-matter expertise, and contact several references.

Q: Why should I decide to have my child tutored by Unlimited Learning as opposed to one of the chain tutoring centers?

A: When you choose Unlimited Learning for your tutoring needs, you are making the right choice. At Unlimited Learning, we provide an in-home, one-on-one approach, which we have found to be the most effective method of instruction. As opposed to tutoring centers with multiple students for each tutor, we offer personalized attention to maximize the effectiveness of every tutoring session. Also, we compensate our tutors extremely well, which allows us to recruit the most qualified and reliable individuals available. We are confident that you will find this a refreshing foil to the approach found at larger franchise tutoring centers.

Q: Why should I invest in private tutoring services?

A: One-on-one tutoring is beneficial for a variety of reasons. Improving students´ grades, study habits, and confidence levels are only a few of the many advantages of one-on-one tutoring. Private tutoring provides an opportunity for students to master every concept for any subject as well as improving upon or learning new skill sets. For students with learning disabilities, private tutoring may be necessary to solidify study skills and to teach them how to succeed despite any barriers the learning disability may have created. For academically advanced students, private tutoring allows these students to remain motivated and intellectually challenged. One-on-one tutoring provides individualized instruction for improving scores on standardized tests, including those for college admission. Acting as positive role models, our tutors increase their students´ self esteem and help them remain interested in their education.

Q: When will I see positive results?

A: All students vary in their initial progress, but most students should quickly notice improvements in their study habits. When students work consistently with our tutors, we are very confident that success will be realized within a short period of time.

Q: Where does the tutoring take place?

A: Depending on your preference, each student will be tutored in the convenience of your own home or at a nearby community facility.

Q: Why do you believe a one-on-one approach is more effective than a group tutoring session?

A: Tutoring centers often have ratios of three students to one tutor for subject specific tutoring and as many as 20, 30, or even 80 students to one teacher for test preparation classes. In this group setting, many students feel the same pressure of failure or rejection felt in the classroom setting. One-on-one instruction offers every student an opportunity to feel free to ask any question or give any answer without the fears they might face in a group setting. Students are able to work at a speed matching their ability level and do not have to cover material which they have already grasped. Since our tutors build a rapport with their students, the students feel comfortable and are able to improve at a much more rapid pace. Since students never have to wait to have a question answered and are able to work during the entire session, one-on-one tutoring is a much more efficient use of time. All of the tutor´s attention and energy are focused on one student and not split between three or more students.
